The residents of Ukraine, who live in old apartment buildings with thecentralized hot water supply system, have problems. The frequentmaintenance and repair works, the disconnections of majority housesduring the warm season, cause it. This situation forces theseconsumers to be disconnected from the centralized hot water supplyand look for alternative methods for preparing hot water. One of thesemethods is the installation of the individual water heater.The question of transition of old apartment buildings from thecentralized hot water supply to the individual one is considered in thepaper. The comparison of changes in the water flow rates andpressure losses in the centralized and individual hot water supplyaccording to the methods of standard regulations 2.04.01-85 andB.2.5-64:2012 is carried out.References
