DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUNCTIONAL DISPOSAL SCHEME FOR DINITROTOLUTENSULFONATE WASTES

Abstract

Modern methods have been investigated for neutralizing organicorigin liquid wastes, in particular compounds of the dinitrotoluidineseries. The process of destruction of organic contaminants by means of various oxidants with environmental control on the physical and chemical parameters of the system was investigated. As a result of the conducted research, it has been established that modern neutralization methods for heavy oxidizing pollutants of organic origin with the chemical reagents – oxidizing agents, reducing agents, coagulants, electrochemical methods and their combination cannot be recommended as a technical solution for the disposal of this wastes category. As the main recycling method for liquid wastes, which contains dinitrotoluidine series herbicides, was chosen the method, which based on concentration process, followed by combustion and recycling into finished products. A functional scheme is proposed for the complete disposal of dinitrotoluenesulphonate wastes.Recommendations and technical solutions for the development of the appropriate technology are given.
