Abstract
This research delves into the evolution of human resource management (HRM) practices, juxtaposing traditional approaches with contemporary trends. The study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the shifting paradigms in HRM and highlight the critical role of innovation in adapting to the dynamic business landscape. The contemporary business environment is characterized by rapid technological advancements, globalization, and increasing competition. These factors have necessitated a paradigm shift in the way organizations manage their human capital. Traditional HRM practices, rooted in scientific management principles, often fall short in addressing the complexities of the modern workplace. The findings reveal a significant shift from traditional, bureaucratic HRM practices towards more agile, employee-centric, and data-driven approaches. Key findings include: data-driven HR; talent management; employee experience; digital transformation; agile HR. Organizations must move beyond traditional HRM practices and adopt a more strategic and people-centric approach. Key implications for organizations include: 1) investing in technology; fostering a culture of innovation; prioritizing employee well-being; developing a talent-centric strategy; measuring the impact of HR initiatives. The study concludes that contemporary HRM is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by technological advancements, globalization, and changing workforce expectations.
