Abstract
The essence, importance and factors determining the spatial economic mobility of the population of Ukraine are disclosed. The problems accompanying the provision of transport services to the population by private carriers are outlined. It is noted that the market of automobile transport services needs both saturation and renewal with vehicles. The research shows that this process takes place in Ukraine mainly due to the import of used cars. The dynamics of the number of cars imported into Ukraine and their age during 2019–2022 are given. And brands. It has been proven that although the age of used cars imported into Ukraine is increasing, they do not impair traffic safety and nevertheless rejuvenate the domestic car fleet. The attractiveness of passenger car brands both in the domestic market and imported from abroad in 2021 is reflected in the population. The level of provision of cars per 1,000 people in Ukraine and some countries of the world was analyzed. It is assumed that the low price segment of used cars makes them available for purchase mainly by the rural population, but the urban population also has this need. Considering the emergence of a new phenomenon in the world «new normality», which is illustrated by the growth of informal employment to a greater extent in the rural population than in the urban population. This is caused both by the processes of seasonality of production in agriculture and by the size of enterprises. It is participation in informal employment that requires spatial mobility of the population.
