Abstract
The article describes the digitalization tools used in the process of forming tourist destinations. The main goals that must be achieved with the help of digitalization are defined. These goals are: opening opportunities for high-tech initiatives and production, formation, implementation of digital transformation projects in the field of tourism; expansion of opportunities for realization of human potential, development of innovative, creative and digital industries and business; promoting the technological development of the tourism industry; gaining world leadership in the export of digital products and services; investment attraction and support of stable economic growth. An analysis of the regulatory and legal support for the digitalization of the management of tourist destinations was carried out on the basis of the following strategic documents: the National concept of the development of digital competences until 2025, Ukraine 2030 – a country with a developed digital economy, the Strategy for the development of tourism and resorts until 2026. The role of the introduction of digital technologies in the process of formation of tourist destinations is defined. The use of these digital tools gives the traveler the opportunity to get to know tourist locations better, expand his horizons and visit hard-to-reach places. The most common digital tools used at tourist destinations in Ukraine were selected for characterization: augmented reality, smart cards, virtual tours. Examples of the use of these tools in Ukrainian cities (Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa) and in the Carpathians region are given. Digital tools as an augmented reality on the example of the city of Lviv reveal the cultural heritage of the city and help tourists independently interact with the environment. Smart cards make moving around Kyiv more comfortable for citizens and tourists. Virtual tours in Odessa allow tourists to see the beauty of the city without leaving home and choose the most interesting places for their future trip. Each of these tools contributes to the interest of tourists in Ukrainian cities. The integration of sustainable practices into a gamified adventure is in line with global trends towards eco-conscious travel and positions the Ukrainian Carpathians as an environmentally friendly destination. It has been proven that the state policy in the field of tourism, the regulatory and legal provision of digitalization of the management of tourist destinations enables the development of innovative technologies, which, in combination with cultural heritage, contribute to the creation of a positive and progressive image of destinations.
