Abstract

The article is devoted to determining the influence of state policy factors on the development of renewable energy in Ukraine. The preconditions for the development of renewable energy in Ukraine are analyzed. The main elements of the structure of primary energy use from the main sources and changes in consumption in the inter-crisis period in the world economy are determined. The phenomenon of reduction of consumption volumes with simultaneous growth of volumes of consumption of alternative energy resources is established, which is connected with the state of emergency in energy in connection with the beginning of hostilities in Donbass. The main measures of state regulation that influenced the changes in the functioning of the renewable energy sector in the studied period are identified. The dynamics of energy consumption from renewable sources in Ukraine from 2011 to 2018 are analyzed. It is determined that during the study period the use of such alternative sources as biomass, solar and wind energy are increased in terms of total energy consumptionfrom renewable sources. The phase diagram of the ratio in the production ofnuclear energy and renewable energy sources for the period 2011–2018 inUkraine are visualized. The scientific novelty of the study is to develop a methodological approach to determining the ratio of energy production fromdifferent sources based on the use of a phase diagram as a tool to visualizethe dynamics of production over the years, which, unlike existing approaches, allows to identify patterns in the development of several energy technologies and assessment of factors influencing the change of development trends. Among the main factors identified are Ukraine's focus on the development of renewable energy, active action in the RussianUkrainian war, the legislative change in the surcharge to the "green" tariff, the commissioning of new renewable energy facilities.
