INCOME INEQUALITIES IN THE SYSTEM OF INDICATORS OF QUALITY OF LIFE: ASSESSMENT AND DETERMINANTS OF REGULATION

Abstract

This paper argues that income inequality in the significant indicator ofquality of life. It is the source of life satisfaction, which in turn may cause such essential consequences as migration, employment decrease and slow economic growth. The official low overall income differential in Ukraine has obvious inconsistencies with the trend of high polarization of income, measured by some partial indicators (distribution of wages, level of poverty, Palma ratio). In temporary European and Ukrainian societies social elevators have the core role in decrease of severe income disparity. The main of them are education (no less than secondary) and employment capabilities. Considering the essential importance of new labor places creating for people with disabilities or with weak competitiveness caused by other reasons in Ukraine we proposed the mechanism of regulation of income inequality. It consists of direct and indirect instruments which provide wider possibilities for employment, especially for vulnerable groups, including measures to support the development of social entrepreneurship.
