Abstract
The article examines the implementation of a multidisciplinary approach in the provision of medical services, which is essential for ensuring comprehensive and high-quality medical care. Multidisciplinary teams, composed of specialists from various fields, contribute to more effective problem-solving in healthcare through coordinated collaboration. Particular attention is given to how the interaction between doctors, nurses, psychologists, and social workers improves the quality of treatment, reduces the risk of errors, and rationally utilizes resources. This organizational model better addresses patient needs, making treatment more individualized and effective. The article also highlights the role of complementary skills among specialists within multidisciplinary teams. Each team member possesses specific competencies, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s condition and making informed decisions in complex clinical situations. Such collaboration facilitates quick responses to changes in patients’ conditions, minimizing risks and improving treatment outcomes. Moreover, the multidisciplinary approach helps avoid duplication of medical procedures, reducing the burden on the healthcare system and lowering treatment costs. Special attention is given to the role of government regulation in the implementation of this approach. The article discusses state mechanisms for supporting multidisciplinary teams, including program funding, the introduction of electronic medical records to improve coordination between specialists, and educational programs for training healthcare workers. Electronic medical records facilitate access to patient histories, increasing the efficiency of team operations. Governmentfunding is also necessary for creating the material and technical infrastructure and supporting research aimed at evaluating theeffectiveness of the multidisciplinary approach. Legislative regulation of the role of multidisciplinary teams in the healthcare system is a crucial element for overseeing their activities and determining responsibility for treatment outcomes. The implementation of this approach involves monitoring treatment results and evaluating the quality of medical services. The article’s conclusions emphasize the need to adapt the multidisciplinary approach to the current conditions in Ukraine, which will help improve the quality of medical services and address both the medical and social needs of patients.
