Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of ensuring the financial sustainability of the national nature parks (NNPs) of Ukraine, of which there are 56 established and which cover an area of 1399161 hectares, which is 30.6% of the total area of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine. National nature parks are financed from the budget, according to the current legislation. In addition, according to Article 47 of the Law of Ukraine «On Environmental Protection», environmental protection funds are created to finance environmental protection measures at the local and state levels. Environmental institutions can be financed from other funds. The money allocated from the budget for environmental protection measures is often not enough. There is a problem of finding additional sources of funding for environmental protection measures on the territory of nature reserve fund objects.Restoration of war-damaged national natural parks, Ukraine's accession to the EU will require new approaches to finding  financial resources to implement the strategic goals of the parks. To solve this problem, it is expedient to intensify the work of the NPP on writing environmental protection projects and participating in grant project competitions. An analysis of the work of Polish NPPs, which actively use project activities in their work, is presented. At the same time, they attract more than 30% of financial resources for the implementation of environmental protection measures. The article analyzes the financial state of the  National Agricultural Research Service of Ukraine, identifies promising directions for writing environmental protection projects.
