Abstract
The article states that after returning to civilian life, veterans and combat participants face a period of adaptation to new aspects of life, conditions of social interaction, and the development of personal skills for solving new challenges.It is highlighted that the process of social adaptation of veterans and combat participants is a complete complex of medical, physical, psychological, socio-pedagogical measures aimed at restoring health, psycho-emotional state and working capacity.It was established that the general level of development of Ukrainian society, the degree of understanding of the importance of the problem of social integration and adaptation of veterans and combatants to peaceful life determines the model of their social adaptation in the country. However, social integration includes not only psychological adaptation, but also the need for multifunctional changes: moral, physical, social. Ukraine has important opportunities for cooperation between defenders and civilians, which is critical for the successful socialization of veterans. This includes providing jobs, rehabilitation and rehabilitation activities, organizing sports competitions and festivals that contribute to the integration of veterans into society. Participation in training and sports competitions helps them stay active and involved in life. It is also important to get the fitness industry involved in supporting veterans. For effective socialization and adaptation of veterans in Ukraine, it is necessary to create a network of veteran centers in cities where they can receive comprehensive support. These centers should provide assistance in capacity development, improvement of physical and psychological health, provision of legal support and professional advice. They can also become hubs for community organizations that work to support veterans and use advanced physical rehabilitation techniques for the injured, as well as provide additional skills for building civilian careers.
