Abstract
The article highlights the key aspects of the foreign experience of communication between authorities and society, in particular: openness and transparency; public consultation and participation; use of social networks and online platforms; development of information campaigns; partnership with NGOs and businesses; taking into account the diversity of citizens. The experience of Sweden, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, and New Zealand was considered. It is noted that the experience of the interaction of authorities with society in the world shows diversity, which is due to the peculiarities of each country and political system. However, some key aspects can be highlighted, including the importance of openness and transparency, consultation and public involvement, effective use of social networks and online platforms, development of information campaigns, cooperation with NGOs and businesses, and attention to the diversity of citizens. In many countries, it is important to implement a policy of openness and transparency, which involves the publication of key information. Public involvement through consultations and public hearings contributes to the legitimacy of the decisions made. The use of social networks and online platforms allows authorities to effectively interact with the public. Development of information campaigns makes government decisions more understandable to the public. Cooperation with NGOs and business expands sources of information and support. Taking into account the diversity of citizens is an important element, promoting equal access to information and participation in social processes. It was concluded that Ukraine should take into account the international experience of interaction of authorities with the public in order to improve its own approach. The importance of openness, transparency, public involvement through consultation and social media can be a source of learning. Partnerships with NGOs and businesses will expand resources and support. Emphasis on the diversity of citizens will contribute to equal access to information and participation in social processes in Ukraine.
