The article substantiates the factors that are decisive for achieving the goals of balanced social development at different levels in the current conditions. It is noted that in order to implement sustainable development strategies, it is necessary to combine the implementation of both economic and reasonable and adapted to market conditions administrative steps. The paper emphasizes the importance of developing measures to ensure resource efficiency and implementing circular economy approaches. It is noted that accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources is one of the important factors in ensuring energy security and, accordingly, the implementation of sustainable development goals. The author emphasizes the importance of adapting approaches to urban planning in the context of implementing the sustainable development goals, which will contribute to both increasing the efficiency of land use and reducing environmental pollution, developing biodiversity and increasing the well-being of the population as a whole. It is pointed out that the use of modern approaches inagricultural production, in addition to the environmental and economic effect, will contribute to food security and integrated development of the relevant territories. The importance of investment support for the sustainable development process is emphasized, and the educational component is highlighted in the context of ensuring the ability to adapt to systemic changes.The necessity of using innovations and modern approaches in the development of energy efficient systems and improvement of infrastructure is emphasized. It is pointed out that achieving the goals of sustainable development should be accompanied by poverty alleviation and ensuring the inclusiveness of socio-economic policy. It is noted that it is important to assess the impact of sustainable development measures on both the economy and the environment.
