The most important and actual management approaches at the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve (Germany) are determined. The algorithm of A’WOT-analysis to a multi-criteria optimization of the biosphere reserve’s development strategies is developed. Four-level hierarchical model for choosing the best biosphere reserve’s development strategy on the principles of sustainable development is created. The constraints and conflicts under resource use and relationships between ecological and socialeconomic systems are identified. Practical guidelines for improving management at the protected area are developed.References
