ANALYSIS OF THE YOUTH LABOR MARKET IN THE RIVNЕ REGION

Abstract

This article analyzes the dynamics of the number of unemployed youth according to data from the Rivne Regional Employment Center. It was noted that in terms of professional characteristics, the largest share of unemployed young people was among trade and service workers, specialists and professionals. Legislative guarantees and measures to promote youth employment are not fully implemented in reality. It was concluded that the imbalance between labor supply and demand remains significant. An analysis of the number of vacancies was carried out, as a result of which it was established that as of November 1, 2023, on average in the region, 2 unemployed persons applied for one vacant workplace. In terms of professional and qualification, the discrepancy between demand and demand was observed among qualified agricultural workers, where 25 people applied for one vacancy. At the same time, the greatest difficulties with employment are experienced by representatives of such professions as: salesman, auxiliary worker, cook, driver of motor vehicles, accountant. It was established that the shortage of personnel was observed among representatives of such professions as: seamstress, general practitionerfamily doctor. The structure of vacancies by types of economic activity was analyzed, it was shown that the largest number of vacancies was offered at enterprises of the processing industry, in particular 21% of all vacancies. The assessment of the demand of employers by professional groups and in the professional section was carried out. The greatest demand from employers was observed for workers in maintenance and operation of equipment – 23%. The average salary for the offered vacancies in the Rivne region was UAH 9,445. Factors of youth employment are systematized, including: social and professional orientations of youth, profession motives, economic orientations, ideas about success in life and ways to achieve it, economic activity.
