Abstract

The article is devoted to the examination of the peculiarities of the organization of the educational component of the educational and scientific process of training applicants for the degree of doctor of philosophy in the institution of higher education – the National University of Water Management and Nature Management. The article presents the structure and functions of the Center for Postgraduate Studies and Doctoral Studies of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management. The Center for Postgraduate Studies and Doctoral Studies includes the Head of Postgraduate Studies and the Department for the Preparation of Candidates for Scientific Degrees and the Organization of Dissertation Defense, which is represented by the head of the department and two leading specialists (the leading specialist for the preparation of candidates for the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy and the leading specialist for the organization of the defense of dissertations for candidates for scientific degrees). The communication links that arise in the process of organizing the educational process and attesting the holders of scientific degrees between the Center for Postgraduate Studies and Doctoral Studies and other structural divisions of the higher education institution are defined. Features of admission to postgraduate studies at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management are presented. The stages of competitive selection and enrollment in postgraduate studies are described. Approaches to the organization of the educational and scientific process of PhD candidates are characterized. The application of the latest information and communication technologies to ensure, plan and organize the educational process in graduate school is considered, in particular: electronic schedule; electronic journal of the teacher/learner; corporate e-mail; digital repository; electronic archive of scientific and educational literature; video broadcasting system of specialized exams and dissertation defenses; hardware and software complex for video recording and publication of specialized exams and dissertation defenses; system of electronic document circulation; mobile application "My NUWEE".
