Abstract

A complex of regime, technological and technical measures aimed at increasing the overall efficiency of the operation of rice irrigationsystems (RIS) in accordance with modern economic and ecologicalrequirements was developed. The possibility and expediency of reuse of drainage and drainage waters of rice systems provided that they are diluted with fresh water is substantiated. To increase the drainage of card-checks at the RIS and to ensure the uniformity of filtration and flushing in their area and profile, the feasibility of introducing a deep loosening of soil has been substantiated. To enhance the drainage of RIS card-checks and to prevent soil re-placement along irrigation channels, the design of card-checks has been improved by arranging additional intracarded closed drain collectors between existing open drainage and drainage channels, as well as catching drains along the irrigation canal. Measures for protecting drainage and drainage channels from channel deformations have been developed.
