COSTS OF REWORK ON THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The article analyzes the existing definitions, sizes and causes of reworks in construction. Alterations in construction may occur as a result of errors, omissions and changes. Key negative consequences of the impact of rework on project performance are cost overruns, excess project time, dissatisfaction of the project team, violation of contractual requirements, and quality deterioration. These negative consequences can spread to other aspects of the construction companies and lead to lower profits, loss of market share and reputation, increased turnover of resources and labor, reduced productivity, deterioration of partnerships.References
