Abstract

The article includes study of the following issue: determination ofinterrelation between operation area width and active miningoperation line length in open pit, which ensures normal ore reserve and its impact on ore extraction productivity. The analysis of studies in terms of mine operational capacity and ore reserves ready to be extracted was done. It is shown that in the process of determining the working platform width for a given open pit ore productivity, only the length of the active front on the ore and overburden at the time of assessment is taken into account. And it does not take into account the effect of changing the width of the working platform on it. The influence of the size of the active part of the working zone of open pit on the parameters of the mining system that satisfy the standard reserves for a given ore open pit productivity is shown on the example of a conditional quarry. It is substantiated that in the case of the concentration of mining works on separate sections of the working area of the open pit, when determining the parameters of the mining system, it is necessary to take into account both the provision of standards for stocks ready for excavation, with a reduction in the length of the pit banks, involved in mining, and the reduction of the maximum possible length of the active front of the mining works in these areas by means the increase in the width of the working platform.
