Abstract
The work determines the share of transport in the structure of energy costs in Ukrainian economy and established the structure of energy consumption for various types of transport. The volume of passenger transportation by vehicle transport was analyzed and was determined its place in this transport system. The main indicators are considered efficiency of the city’s transport system in relation to energy costs its limits. The structure of the unified transport system of Ukraine is presented and considered the place of transport energy consumption when carrying out its technical and economic assessment. The existing terminological concepts of the definitions «transport system» and «unified transport system» is analyzed and proposed to use of a new term – transport and communication system of the city. The main calculation methods are defined consumption offuel and energy resources within the city’s transport and communication system.
