Abstract
The article is dedicated to the exploration and analysis of research conducted by architect O. Kuzmych (Doctor of Architecture,Professor) regarding the issues of formation, development, and reconstruction of green areas in urban planning, using the example of the formation of the water-green axis of Rivne city and its suburbs. The problem of afforestation of inconvenient territories in the region and their further utilization is considered and analyzed. Suggestions are made for creating new elements of landscaping and improvement.
