Abstract

Architecture and all its works are something that historically is always before our eyes; these are objects that everyone canappreciate from different angles. The history of mankind can be studied through architecture; many architectural schools arerepresented in different countries and indicate the degree of development of civilization at different times. Perhaps in every city, among the architectural monuments there are original compositions that arouse interest, surprising with their pomp, elegance or official severity. And you cannot find a person who would not be captivated by the arches, bridges with ancient fragments, towers and, of course, domes, which are attributed with magical properties. The beauty and functionality of architecture is not only aesthetics, but also the key to a comfortable lifestyle. Friedrich von Schiller, a German poet, playwright and philosopher, once said: «Architecture is frozen music». By this hemeant that architecture, like music, can evoke emotions and admiration, and also leave a lasting impression on people. At the same time, practicing architecture is associated with activities such as planning, design, choosing building constructiontechnology, selecting materials, and fitting the building into the urban space. All these things require special education and the application of scientific methodology. The question of whether architecture is a science often raises a variety of points of view, and the answer depends on the definition of the science and what aspects of architecture are being considered. Technical aspect: оn the one hand, architecture can be considered as a science in the sense that it involves the use of scientific knowledge and methods in the design of buildings and structures. This includes knowledge of physics, mathematics, engineering, materials science, etc., which is applied to create structurally and functionally sustainable structures. On the other hand, architecture is often viewed as an art because it involves the creative process and the expression of aesthetic and cultural ideals through the form, proportions and composition of buildings. Thus, we can say that architecture combines both scientific andartistically aspects. She uses scientific principles and knowledge to solve technical problems and create functional and safe designs, while also expressing cultural and aesthetic values through form and style.Overall, although architecture can be perceived as a science in a broad sense, it is also an art and an engineering art that  integrates  various aspects of knowledge and practice.
