Abstract
A theoretical method of determining cutting forces in various development conditions is described. Analytical dependences fordetermination of cutting forces in blocked, asymmetric-blocked, semiblocked and free cutting methods are obtained. The dependences of the force ratio, the volume of the chipping bodies and the contact area of the side walls of the elements of the chipping bodies on the ratio of the width of the knife to the depth of cutting were obtained, with the help of which it is possible to determine the value of the forces for various cutting conditions and the rational arrangement of theworking organs knowing only one force and parameters of 3d-models of soil chip elements.
