An important issue facing humanity today is the protection and rational use of natural resources, prevention of the negative consequences of intensive intervention in nature and rehabilitation of damaged ecosystems. This primarily concerns agro-industrial production, where the impact of anthropogenic factors is a necessary condition for existence and, at the same time, a factor that causes negative responses of agro-systems to its action. Despite the large number of publications on Pieris brassicae, the peculiarities of seasonal and long-term dynamics of its population have not been sufficiently studied and methods for its forecasting have not been developed for the conditions of the Northern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Measures to protect cabbage from the pest using entomophages and the use of new biological defense systems also need to be improved. For the first time, the regularities of the dynamics of Pieris brassicae population in the Western Forest-Steppe and the migration ability of Trichogramma evanescens in cabbage agrocenoses were revealed. The functional dependencies between the distribution of Pieris brassicae adults and the GTC during its development, between the degree of damage to cabbage by Pieris brassicae larvae and the average daily temperature, the amount of precipitation and the GTC during the development of parental individuals were established. The degree of damage to cabbage was determined depending on the density of the pest. A functional linear inversely proportional relationship between the percentage of Pieris brassicae eggs infection and the distance of Trichogramma evanescens dispersal was observed. The evaluation of ecological and economic efficiency of different systems of protection of white cabbage from damage by Pieris brassicae was further developed, on the basis of which the most effective biological means of protection of cabbage from Pieris brassicae for the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine were proposed
