FEATURES OF THE WINTER OILSEED RAPE GROWING IN UKRAINIAN POLISSІA

Abstract

The following article analyzes the intensive technology of winter oilseed rape cultivation in Ukrainian Polissіa. The research was conducted at the farm of «Agrosoyuz» which is located in  Zhytomyr region. The sod-podzolics (Umbric Albeluvisols Abruptic) are predominant soils. The complex measures as for soils reclamation was realized. Due to this humus content of the soil – 2.6%, soil solution reaction pHKCl = 5,5-6,0. Investigations were focused on rape hybrids namely Eksahon, P46W21, Safran because hybrids achieve better yields than lineal varieties due to the heterosis effect, and, more importantly, hybrid yields are more stable from abiotic stress. Intensive technology involves application of micronutrient fertilizes in our case Rozalik-Bor, Rozalik-Magnum and ammonium sulfate to improve the yield quality. Because of wide spectrum of pests the following insecticides: Nurel D, Vizcaya, Mauritius should be applied. To resolve the problem of weeds in  winter oilseed rape crops the herbicide Super Galera with soil action was used. To prevent fungous diseases - fungicide Tebukur. To be able to guarantee an high yield of winter oilseed rape with the required quality the fertilization strategy with integrated protection from diseases, pests and weeds to control phytosanitary state of crops should be applied.
